The house, a former nobleman’s mansion, lies only a few few steps away from the cathedral of San Giogio and close to the main street of the Old Town Center. Our common rooms still show classic decorations and pavements from the past. The great ball room in particular is still covered with beautiful hand made ceramic tiles from Caltagirone.
Our spacious facilities, used by the former owners for festivities and gatherings, are at our guest’s disposal as meeting point, library and reading room. The whole common area gives access to a long balcony with a splendid view over one of the oldest parts of the city. In the entrance area a characteristic courtyard welcomes our guests with the fragrance of thousands of jasmin flowers during summer months.
The simple but welcoming rooms, bright and with a panoramic view, have recently been redecorated by aspiring artists from Brera art school.

In the distant 1998, I Tetti di Siciliando were opened as the first extra-hotel accommodation structure in Modica, thanks to the charm of the house, the courtyard characterized by typical vegetation and the panoramic view of Modica's roofs. Since then, our team, composed of founder Rosellina, co-manager Graziana, waitress Carmela and Rosellina's German husband, Thomas, who takes care of the website and marketing, has enriched its experience and passion for the territory thanks to the continuous interaction with our guests. The location of our house is ideal because it is in the heart of the historic center, but at the same time very close to the bus station and one of the entrances to the city. Just a short walk from the Duomo of San Giorgio and the Duomo of San Pietro, you can take a beautiful and panoramic walk towards Modica Alta, admiring numerous baroque buildings, until you reach Pizzo Belvedere, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city, and then descend through the alleys and narrow streets towards Modica Bassa. Here you will find numerous chocolate shops, bars, restaurants, and trattorias.
